Last month, a few CLEAR PIs and their labs attended the Fifth Annual Stroke Survivor and Caregiver Event to showcase their research to patients and caregivers. This event offered stroke survivors, caregivers, and healthcare professionals an opportunity for education, inspiration, and community connection. Attendees heard from expert speakers, engaged in discussions, and got an opportunity to network with others who share similar experiences.

Jason Franz, PhD, professor of biomedical engineering at the UNC School of Medicine, has received a $400,000 NCInnovation grant to advance innovative research using wearable sensors and artificial intelligence to improve rehabilitation for individuals with arthritis.
