Nicholas Hann and Hui Cong Have Abstracts Accepted @ 2 Major Conferences

The Orthopaedic Mechanobiology Lab, directed by Dr. Jacque Cole, an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering NC State/UNC saw two graduate students have their abstracts accepted in December 2015 at major conferences.

Nicholas Hanne’s abstract was accepted for the International Bone and Mineral Society’s second Herbert Fleisch Workshop taking place in Brugge Belgium in early 2016. The Conference is named in honor of the late Herbert Fleisch, and in recognition of the wonderful workshops that he hosted over several decades in Davos, Switzerland, where he always insisted on special attention being paid to the presentations of young scientists, whether they were in poster or oral format. The objective of the conference is to provide a Gordon-conference style forum for students, post-docs and early stage principal investigators to present work in progress, discuss thoroughly and network with peers, and get constructive feedback from experienced senior scientists.

Hui Cong’s abstract was accepted for the 10th World Biomaterial Congress (WBC) taking place in Montreal Canada in May of 2016. It is the largest gathering of Biomaterial Researchers charting the future of the field. WBC is on track to be the largest scientific gathering of biomaterials scientists ever, and the largest World Biomaterials Congress to-date.

Congratulations to 2 outstanding BME graduate students!
