The Closed Loop Engineering for Advanced Rehabilitation (CLEAR) core seeks your help in investing in North Carolina’s students, technical advances, and innovative entrepreneurship. CLEAR plays a central role in shaping the research leaders of tomorrow and producing the next generation of medical improvements for those with disabilities.

The core has made exceptional progress since its inception in 2011, even in the face of significant budget cuts over the past 3 years. Despite these curtailed resources, the Core produces well-trained biomedical engineers, cutting edge technologies and advances in rehabilitation engineering that will serve to keep North Carolina competitive on a nationwide and international scale.

With your help, the Closed Loop Engineering for Advanced Rehabilitation core can become a powerhouse in Rehabilitation Engineering, making CLEAR a great place to invest!

Our research which investigates human-machine interactions, develops advanced wearable, rehabilitation technologies, and enables seamless integration and co-adaptation of rehabilitation machines and humans to assist and augment physical abilities, performance, and experiences in individuals with disabilities.
