Jason Franz - 2 New Funding Awards


Jason Franz, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering, UNC/NC State and PI of the Applied Biomechanics Lab (ABL) received two new funding awards. One award came through the UNC Faculty Development Grant program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill titled “Preventing knee osteoarthritis with a novel cartilage loading biofeedback intervention”. The PI is Brian Pietrosimone (EXSS) and Jason’s role is Co-PI.

The second award is via, North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute, NC TraCS Pilot Award, titled “Visuomotor entrainment and the control of balance in elderly gait”, Jason will serve as the PI while Prue Plummer (PT) and Erik Wikstrom (EXSS) are Co-Investigators.

Congratulation to Jason and all who are involved!

Dr. Franz also submitted grants to NIH, NATA Research & Education Foundation, and Bank Foundation, University of Sassari (Italy)
